IMPLEMENTATION OF ACTIVITIES

Implementing Strategic Goal I. Exchanging the best practice and experience to reach audit results that have a substantial impact on improving public financial management the coordination group consisting of the SAIs of Estonia and Lithuania prepared the third Audit Compendium, focusing on the recent audits of social support for vulnerable groups in municipalities to protect them from poverty and social exclusion.

The Audit Compendium contains information, provided by fifteen SAIs. The first part of Audit Compendium describes the role of municipalities in the national social protection systems. The second part summarises the results of audits and other products grouped by vulnerable groups and the main identified observations and provided recommendations in these groups. The third part contains information, provided by fifteen SAIs on each audit or other product carried out.

We hope that this Audit Compendium will raise awareness of the audit work done by TFMA countries and will be a useful for everyone interested in social support for vulnerable groups at local level.
